When Jack Thill started the Fort Wayne Farm Show, he envisioned a trade show where the farm community could come together with agri-business leaders to learn and compare the latest equipment and products in this ever-changing marketplace.

Jack's "vision" has grown each year to become one of the most respected farm shows in the nation, attracting qualified attendees from many states.

Our exhibitors not only present the latest farm technology the industry has to offer, but the area's largest variety of farm machinery and equipment in one location. Educational seminars presented daily, are produced by Northeastern Indiana Soil and Water Conservation Districts and Purdue Cooperative Extension Services.

Iowa Power Farming Show

Iowa Power Farming Show
Wells Fargo Arena & Veterans Auditorium, Des Moines, IA

The 55th Iowa Power Farming Show is set for February 2-4, 2010, at the Hy-Vee Exhibit Hall, Wells Fargo Arena and Veterans Auditorium in Des Moines, IA.

Designed to showcase new equipment and products for farmers, the Iowa Power Farming Show is the largest indoor ag shows in the upper Midwest and one of only two Midwest ag shows bringing together major machinery manufacturers and exhibitors from around the world.

Exhibitors continue to tell us that the quality of attendees is what sets the Iowa Power Farming Show apart from other farm shows. 59.3% of all farmer attendees stated they planned to purchase equipment over $20,000 in 2009; 84.6% with over 1500 acres. The average acreage size of farmer was 1162 and 58.5% of the farmers also raise either cattle or hogs.

Why do manufacturers go to the show? They go to solicit feedback on products, gather information and in general use the show as an evaluation tool and then sales will follow. It's a necessity for businessmen who need to network and meet their customers face-to-face. There is also an expectation from farmers that a manufacturer will be there.

Farmers attend for the social aspect, maintaining contacts, visiting specific companies and staying informed on new products. For many, it's a chance to escape from the fields to kick some tires.

The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday, February 3 and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4. Admission is $6.00. Click here for the $3.00 attendee discount registration form.

The Iowa Power Farming Show is owned and managed by the Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association, which represents over 400 agricultural and outdoor power equipment dealers throughout Iowa and Nebraska.
